We seek a DevOps Engineer ( AppOps), Senior Level 3 who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers\\\’ personalized expectations in this new technological era.
Responsibilities
- Support AWS configuration for services like Transfer Family, a small number of EC2s, EFS, etc.
- Manage AWS Kubernetes across 70+ microservices running across multiple tenants.
- Helm Charts management — taking from lower dev envs and ensuring they work in the uppers.
- ArgoCD daily usage and Argo Rollouts for blue/green and canary deployment strategies.
- Istio Service Mesh; GitLab CD pipelines — build and support upper level pipelines.
- Understand GIT branch strategies in large scale multi-environment implementations.
- Environment builds for new client deployments; support performance/chaos testing teams.
- Production release strategies and level 3 support for deployments.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years IT experience in large scale environments, preferably Financial.
- At least 4 years DevOps experience with:
- Kubernetes with kubectl
- Helm
- Containers (Docker and/or Podman) with images stored in Harbor
- AWS
- GitLab
- Linux commands and Bash scripting
- SSL – understanding of diagnosing connectivity issues
- Experience with standard management processes (incident, change, release, problem, etc.).
- Desirable skills: Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, Python.
- Desirable skills: Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka.
Location and compensation
This job can be filled in Basildon, UK.
Final compensation offered is based on multiple factors such as the role, location, and individual skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
