Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client for their brand new, well-positioned venue in this fantastic all-year-round location in recruiting for an ambitious Head Chef to lead and join their exciting Kitchen operations. You will also be helping to head up this new site with the implementation of Spring 2026 menus, in this fast-growing, casual dining, award-winning operators’ business.

The person:

Our passionate, ambitious client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will harness the talent of the brigades, utilise the brand-new fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, to provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers, and put the location on the map in the East of Scotland, as a noted destination place to dine.

The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience of volume restaurants in the high street space. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior operational department heads, regional culinary management, and with all levels of the site diverse teams.

Our client requires an ideal Head Chef who is keen to train, coach and mentor their teams, continually evolve the food services, deliver consistent menus and food concepts, and further the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice, in the Scottish marketplace.

As the Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, and also with the delivery of concepts developed with the company Chef Director, and Regional Area Operational Chefs.

As Head Chef, you must also be someone that not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, possess food innovation skills, but someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, health, and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and mentoring of others, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of their area.
