We are recruiting for an ambitious Head Chef to lead and join their established Kitchen operations. You will be helping to head up a settled team with implementation of seasonal casual dining menus and specials in this successful award-winning business.
The person: Our passionate, ambitious client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a passionate leader in the kitchen. Someone who will harness the talent of the brigade and utilise the open kitchen facilities to their advantage, to provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers. The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard. It is desirable that you have had experience of volume casual dining restaurants.
You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior department heads, regional management, and all levels of the operational teams. Our client requires an ideal Head Chef who is keen to train, coach and mentor their teams, evolve the food services, deliver consistent menus and food concepts, and further the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice in the marketplace.
As the Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, and also with the delivery of concepts developed in conjunction with the company Chef Director and Regional Head Chefs. The Head Chef must also be someone who not only has strong all-round culinary techniques, possesses great presentation skills, and has sound food innovation skills, but also is an effective manager of the whole kitchen environment.
Being knowledgeable on all controls of health and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and mentoring of others, and strong cost & budgetary control skills.
