Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with one of Edinburgh's award-winning, premier Restaurant, Boutique Hotel, and Bar venues. They are looking for a passionate F&B orientated Assistant Manager for this beautifully positioned venue in the market. The opportunity is located in a bustling, trendy area in the city centre of Edinburgh.

The role will require the Assistant Manager to support the Deputy Manager and General Manager, Exec Head Chef, and Directors of the business in leading the large team of 50+ across the site. This diverse luxury appointed food and drink led property will require an Assistant Manager candidate with sound hands-on operational experience. You will need to be very customer facing and lead by example. With an eye for detail, possess commercial nous, especially in a challenging marketplace.

You will manage the staff across all front/back of house, kitchen, and bar areas as required. A great understanding of stock controls, cellar management, health & safety, training, and development of others, as well as possessing first-class communication skills, are pre-requisites for this diverse and fast-paced role.

The person: Our long-standing client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a hands-on approach type leader, with a focused, well-organised mind. With a positive attitude, you are driven commercially. This is a multi-tasking, challenging role in an amazingly fast-paced environment, so it will need someone used to keeping their fingers on the pulse of an operation at all times. A quality understanding of all areas of a volume bar and restaurant operations is a key skill set required.

Our quality-focused client requires the ideal candidate to possess first-class people skills, with "right first time" engagement with customers and colleagues alike. A good understanding of a P&L and costs is also desired, and this role would ideally suit a current Assistant Manager applicant or a highly experienced Floor Manager looking to step up into a larger venue, with added diverse responsibilities.
