Global Talent 2020 is proudly working with one of Scotland’s award-winning, upmarket Restaurant and Bar operators. They are looking for a passionate F&B-oriented Deputy General Manager for this prominent, beautifully positioned, popular all-year-round venue near Edinburgh.

The role requires the Deputy General Manager to support the venue General Manager and lead the large teams across the site and sister seasonal pop-up. This well-appointed food and drink concept demands a candidate with sound “hands-on” operational floor experience. The Deputy General Manager must be very customer-facing, lead by example, possess an eye for detail, and exhibit sound commercial nous in a changing and challenging marketplace.

The role involves managing the large staff complement across all front-/back-of-house, kitchen and bar areas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cellar management

  • First-class communication skills

The successful candidate will hold first-class people skills, engage customers and colleagues with “right first time” interaction, and have a good understanding of a P&L and costs.
