Quality Lead - HV Transmission & Civil Infrastructure in Skipton

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Lead to support the delivery of one of the UK's largest high-voltage transmission infrastructure programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving quality excellence across major HV cable route and civil engineering projects. Working closely with project teams, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, you will ensure quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilisation through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.

The successful candidate will champion continuous improvement, maintain robust quality management systems, and help deliver critical infrastructure projects to the highest industry standards.

• Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across major HV transmission and civil engineering projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality management processes.
• Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and site quality inspections to ensure compliance with project, client, and ISO requirements.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, root cause investigations, and lessons-learned initiatives.
• Oversee quality documentation, inspection records, as-built documentation, and project handover information.
• Work closely with construction, engineering, commercial, and project delivery teams to embed quality throughout all phases of delivery.
• Monitor project quality performance, analyse trends, and prepare quality reports for senior management.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and operational teams.
• Promote a proactive quality culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the programme.
• Support external audits, client inspections, and certification activities.

• Internal Auditor qualification or significant auditing experience.
