As a Practice Delivery Lead you will manage the execution of practice aligned services across multiple portfolios, from opportunity stage to successful delivery. You will manage multiple delivery teams potentially located across different geographic regions. You will be responsible for building the delivery team structure, setting the overall margin and outcomes. You will provide delivery leadership and assurance during the execution phase to the programme and project managers. You will be expected to engage with senior client and GL stakeholders as well as identifying new opportunities for services.
Requirements
- Experience of managing a programme, or a portfolio of projects, with annual revenues in excess of £10m+
- Demonstrated experience of leadership and management of large teams typically in excess of 50+ people in a combination of onshore, near shore and far shore distributed delivery models
- Extensive experience of developing and managing commercial constructs supporting margin and growth targets
- Strong financial rigour and process governance ownership
- Breadth and depth of delivery management expertise in a matrix-based organisation, typically in a variety of delivery-based roles
- Expert in the use of different project and programme delivery methodologies
- Experienced in supporting the selling cycle, including bid management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate across boundaries, becoming a trusted advisor to the client
- Consultative approach to each delivery ensuring GL are providing the best outcome for the client
Job responsibilities
- Ensures the delivery structure and various artefacts produced during the opportunity cycle are aligned to the delivery framework and have been signed off prior to delivery execution
- Engages with other delivery regions to ensure the delivery model is optimised for client value and alignment prior to execution
- Responsible for managing the Practice Resource Pool across multiple bid and delivery activities to achieve target utilization and margin
- Assurance for the proposed delivery model across multiple streams including alignment and engagement with UKI Portfolios and aligned UKI Practices (GMT)
- Identify and propose initiatives for quick wins and longer-term business improvement within the practice
- Act as a mentor to other project and programme managers, leading by example and creating a supportive and learning culture within the teams that provides the support for individual growth and attainment
