About The Role

PD&MS Group are now looking for a Senior Structural Designer to join our team in Aberdeen or Glasgow on a full-time, on-going contract basis. We offer a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely. This role will involve flowline work, and we are seeking Designers with experience in brownfield pipe support design incorporating bolted connections for this role. Candidates must be able to work in a 2D and 3D AutoCAD/Plant 3D environment and be able to utilise ReCAP point cloud data. If you are passionate about Design, have some energy industry experience, or have transferable skills, then we would love to hear from you.

Key duties

  • Creates and checks engineering designs
  • Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
  • Input to project plans
  • Identify areas of concern during any project or study
  • Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
  • Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
  • Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

About You

Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy coaching and mentoring others. We’d like you to have an HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
