Main purpose of the role:
Responsible for carrying out inspection, maintenance, repair and test of electrical equipment, both customer owned and within the hire fleet. Portable appliance testing of all electrically operated equipment.
- Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassembly of Equipment
- Individual Component Inspection
- Able to competently use and understand the Portable Appliance Test Machine
- Inspect, repair, electrically test & function test non-Atex rated items such as Extension Cables, Industrial Transformers, Junction Boxes, Flood Lamps, Heaters and Dehumidifiers
- Inspect, repair, electrically test & function test basic Atex rated items such as Extension Cables and Junction Boxes
- Inspect, repair, electrically test & function test more complex Atex rated items such as Transformers
- Inspect, repair, electrically test & function test Atex rated lighting such as Slam Hornets, Evo Juniors, Flood Lamps and battery operated Wolf Lamps
- Inspect, repair, electrically test & function test 3 Phase equipment such as Mains Distribution Units, Transformers and Heaters
- Inspect, repair, electrically test, calibrate & function test all types of Welding equipment
- Job Card Completion
- Compliance with requirements of Job Description and company HSSEQ policies and procedures
- Housekeeping
The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.
