PD&MS Group are now looking for a Lead Piping Designer to join our team on a full-time, long-term contract or employee basis. This role can be based in our Aberdeen or Glasgow office on a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely. Candidates must have previous Brownfield EPC experience to be considered.

Key Duties

  • Assist the project in creating schedules, time assignment and resource allocation
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements
  • Provide input to project plans
  • Identify areas of concern during any project or study
  • Produce cost‑effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
  • Address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
  • Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

About You

Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy leadership and development of people through coaching and mentoring of others. We’d like you to have a HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design and design checking with an understanding of other disciplines. You need to be highly competent in the use of AutoDesk design products.
