We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for an analytical individual to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will assist senior management in making informed business decisions by providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial data and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Data Analysis: Evaluate and analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans by collecting and consolidating data from various departments.
  • Reporting & Dashboard Creation: Support the monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes, preparing reports and dashboards that outline the company's financial position and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual financial results and planned figures, providing commentary and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Financial Modeling: Help develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance and assess potential risks or opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to gather relevant data, share insights, and ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance function and assist with ad-hoc projects and analyses as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Experience: PQE 1-2 years or on course to complete a recognised financial qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling, data analysis). Familiarity with financial software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus. Interest in or experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. A proactive approach, curiosity, and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
