The Internal Communications team sits within GlobalData’s People function and is responsible for ensuring our business priorities, product and solution offerings, and core people initiatives are effectively communicated to our colleagues across the globe. We’re currently looking for a Head of Internal Communications – maternity cover – to join us on a 12‑month fixed term contract. In this role you will have full responsibility for delivering the internal communications strategy for GlobalData globally, ensuring our colleagues are informed, engaged and connected to our priorities. You’ll partner closely with business leaders and play a key role in maintaining effective communication across divisions, functions and locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategy and delivery owner: Own and lead the delivery of our internal communications strategy ensuring we maintain momentum on key strategic initiatives.
  • Executive partnership: Maintain relationships and understand priorities of key executive leaders – both operational and commercial.
  • Functional partnership: Maintain relationships and collaborate with key functional leaders across Facilities/IT/HR/Finance/Brand and Marketing/Commercial enablement/M&A integration/Customer Success and our Employee Resource Groups.
  • Drive messaging alignment: Translate priorities into clear, simple, compelling comms aligned to our business strategy and EVP that will land in all areas of the business.
  • Own core channels: Own our core internal comms channels and platforms: SharePoint intranet, Zoom Events, Teams, Hubspot CRM and reporting dashboards.
  • Campaign management: Continue to optimise strategy and embed existing campaign activity.
  • Change management: Take on any new campaign strategy and delivery, for example new or change in business priorities, product/solution launches, acquisitions to the business and internal initiatives.
  • Measurement and reporting: Track and continuously improve strategy based on performance dashboard insights.
  • Team management: Direct line management of Internal Communications and Engagement Manager.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in internal communications and client relationship management.
  • Research and insight‑driven approach to developing internal comms campaigns and initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience of using key internal comms channels: SharePoint and Hubspot – highly desirable.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional global teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and driving positive change.
