The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

Your product development and performance experience will also be required when you are asked to provide advice on existing product/new product. You will need to visit suppliers and assess the product and their capability, undertaking assessments to ensure compliance to HSEQ standards. You should expect to be on site as required, which could be all week or just a day. This role spans the operational business and across the UK, involving clients/landlords, Partnerships, and handover into operations. While this is a product engineering role, a commercial/operational mindset is essential. You will be part of a small team of technical experts supported by the wider engineering, project, and programmes team.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Research market products through partner assets, online reviews, and new contacts.
  • Develop new digital outdoor products (LCD/LED).
  • Manage the full lifecycle of product development, ensuring collaboration among relevant teams.
  • Challenge specifications and engineering approaches for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Request costs from suppliers and assist in preparing R&D business cases.
  • Communicate confidently with all stakeholders and senior management.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify risks or issues.
  • Provide updates to the Programmes team.
  • Ensure project delivery within specified timelines and assurance standards.
  • Understand product performance metrics and lifecycle management.
  • Deputise for the Chief Engineer when needed.

  • Possessing experience in mechanical, electrical, or physical product development.
  • Having a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Product Engineering.
