The purpose of this role is to manage and lead social media activity for Radio X. You’ll work across on‑air and online to create outstanding social media and video content. You’ll be responsible for driving growth and engagement across all of Radio X’s social platforms, including YouTube.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production (40%): Creating engaging social posts and video content for Radio X’s social platforms, with focus on Instagram and YouTube.
  • Creative (40%): Collaborate with our programming and digital teams on big ideas for social channels including original formats/series.
  • Talent (20%): Work and coach our presenters and producers to deliver the very best content for the platform and share best practices to build engaged audiences.

What You’ll Need

  • A passion for social media and video, current trends and conversations.
  • A love for music and entertainment, particularly indie and rock.
  • An understanding of the Radio X brand, tone, its satellite channels and music policy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A creative mind with a skill for problem solving.
  • Experience in developing a digital presence either professionally or personally.
  • Experience in the use of Photoshop, Canva or similar.
  • Some experience in video editing on Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar.
  • An ability to collaborate with stakeholders both internal and external.
