Your new role

The Analyst role within the Gross Margin Commercial Finance team is your opportunity to deliver insight and support commercial performance to help shape the future of Global. This role focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth and gross margin performance through robust analysis, improved reporting, and support for planning, trading and pricing initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, you'll play an important role in helping Global optimise revenue, improve margins and deliver against its strategic priorities.

As a Finance Analyst at Global, you will:

  • Financial Analysis (15%): Conduct detailed analysis of performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Forecasting Support (15%): Assist in building and recalibrating budgets and forecasts to guide business decisions on a weekly basis.
  • Revenue Optimisation (30%): Proactively contribute towards driving revenue initiatives such as commercial trading deals, commissions & pricing.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting (15%): Ensure financial data is accurate, reliable, and accessible, supporting governance and alignment with group targets.
  • Stakeholder Support (25%): Provide actionable insights to operational and commercial teams, helping them make informed decisions.

What You'll Need

  • Analytical skills: Strong financial analysis, modelling and Excel skills with the ability to work with complex data and extract insights.
  • Financial systems and visualisation tools: Proficient in Excel, Tableau and Power BI.
  • Attention to detail: Highly organised and accurate when working across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive approach: Asks the right questions, challenges assumptions constructively, and identifies opportunities to improve performance and processes.
