Your new role We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly collaborative Duty Editor to play a leading editorial role at LBC and Global’s Newsroom. Reporting into LBC’s Managing Editor, you’ll work across the entire newsroom to ensure our audio and digital output is closely aligned, leading coverage on the stories that drive engagement across our platforms. You’ll help set the editorial agenda with news-making guests and standout content. Working closely with our journalists, presenters, audio and digital teams, you’ll be empowered to make key editorial decisions, with the whole operation working together to deliver brilliant, agenda-setting journalism, as part of an integrated 360 content strategy. This role operates on a rolling four days on, four days off shift pattern, including early starts, late finishes and weekends. Key Responsibilities · Editorial Leadership: Provide senior editorial oversight across LBC’s output, making confident decisions in a fast-paced, 24/7 news environment. You’ll lead key planning meetings and co-ordinate the daily agenda for the brand. · Cross-Platform Content: Join up our strongest stories and moments across audio and digital, ensuring standout content reaches the widest possible audience. · Agenda-Setting Journalism: Identify opportunities for original stories, exclusive news lines and big-name guests that generate conversation and drive national debate. · Newsroom Collaboration: Work closely with journalists, presenters, programming, digital and communications teams to ensure coverage is aligned across the LBC brand. · Shift Leadership
