About the Role

Global is looking for an experienced Creative Marketing Specialist to join the Group Comms & Marketing Team.

The role will support marketing activity across a group of businesses within Global's energy portfolio, working closely with the wider Comms & Marketing Team and stakeholders across the businesses to deliver high-quality marketing and creative communications.

This is a hybrid marketing and creative role, with a stronger emphasis on creative delivery, combining a good understanding of marketing and communications with strong visual judgement and practical design capability.

The role will cover a broad range of marketing activity, including content creation, social media, website content, campaigns, brand application, presentations and proposals, events and wider marketing collateral.

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the audience, objective, message and channel behind the work, contribute ideas and help determine the most effective way to communicate it.

A strong creative eye will be important, along with the practical capability to turn ideas, information and briefs into polished, professional and brand-consistent communications.

This will include presentations, proposals, reports, case studies, brochures, capability statements, campaign assets, social and digital content and other marketing materials using Adobe Creative Cloud, Power Point, Canva and Microsoft products.

A good understanding of layout, typography, imagery, information hierarchy and visual storytelling will be important, particularly when translating complex technical or operational information into clear, engaging and client-ready materials.

There will also be opportunities to support wider Group marketing activity across campaigns, content, events, internal communications and brand development.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working across both marketing and creative delivery - a marketer with particularly strong creative capability, or a creative professional with a good understanding of marketing and communications.

Experience using AI-powered design and content tools would also be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate brand, marketing and commercial briefs into high-quality creative communications across digital and physical channels.
  • Design and produce presentations, proposals, reports, capability statements, brochures, case studies, campaign materials, event collateral, social media graphics, internal communications and other marketing assets.
  • Develop creative concepts and visual approaches for marketing campaigns, business announcements, project milestones, service launches and other communications activity.
  • Work closely with the Brand Manager to translate established brand strategy, positioning and messaging into effective visual communications.
  • Apply Global and individual business brand identities across different audiences, channels and formats, maintaining a consistently high standard of execution.
  • Use layout, typography, imagery, messaging hierarchy, infographics and visual storytelling to simplify complex technical and operational information and make it engaging and accessible.
  • Support the development of client-facing and business development materials, working with marketing, business development and operational teams to turn technical content into clear, credible and visually compelling communications.
  • Create digital content and creative assets for websites, social media, email marketing and campaigns, considering how creative should adapt across different channels and audiences.
  • Create and support written marketing content where required, including social media content, website copy, case studies, campaign messaging, headlines and short-form copy.
  • Work directly with stakeholders across Global’s businesses to understand requirements, interrogate briefs and recommend appropriate marketing and creative solutions.
  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, business announcements, project milestones, events and other communications activity.
  • Support website and social media activity across Global and its portfolio businesses, helping to ensure content remains current, engaging and aligned with brand and marketing objectives.
  • Manage multiple marketing and creative projects from brief through to delivery, balancing priorities, deadlines and stakeholder requirements while maintaining attention to detail and brand consistency.
  • Prepare artwork and liaise with external print, production, photography, videography and other creative suppliers where required.

Contribute ideas to the ongoing development of Global’s visual language, templates, creative toolkit and wider brand experience.

Marketing & Communications Support

While the role has a stronger emphasis on creative delivery, the successful candidate will be an active member of the wider Comms & Marketing Team and will support broader marketing activity across Global and its businesses.

This may include

  • Supporting the planning, development and delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Creating and adapting written and visual content for social media, websites, email and other digital channels.
  • Supporting website content updates and maintaining high standards of presentation across digital platforms.
  • Supporting exhibitions, conferences, client events, internal communications and wider marketing initiatives.
  • Working with colleagues and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for content, campaigns and communications.
  • Contributing creative and marketing ideas during campaign planning and wider team discussions.

Supporting basic marketing performance reporting and using insights to inform future content and creative activity.

Wider Group Support

The role will support marketing and creative requirements across Global’s energy and infrastructure portfolio as well as wider Group initiatives.

This will include working across multiple specialist businesses, each with its own requirements and audiences, while ensuring their communications remain connected to Global’s overarching brand, messaging and strategic direction.

The successful candidate will help raise the overall quality and consistency of marketing and visual communications across the Group and provide additional marketing and creative capacity where priorities require it.

  • Criteria
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a marketing, creative or communications role, ideally within an in‑house team, agency, B2B organisation or similarly commercially focused environment.
  • A good understanding of marketing and communications principles, including audiences, objectives, messaging, content, channels and campaigns.
  • Strong creative judgement and a good eye for layout, typography, imagery, visual hierarchy and brand application.
  • Practical design capability and confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop, alongside Power Point, Canva and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience creating high-quality marketing materials across a range of formats, which could include presentations, proposals, reports, brochures, capability statements, campaign assets, social content and digital communications.
  • Strong content skills, with the ability to help shape messaging and turn technical or operational information into clear, engaging written and visual communications.
  • Ability to understand and interpret a brief, contribute ideas and develop an appropriate creative response based on the audience, objective and channel.
  • An understanding of digital marketing and experience working with websites, social media and other digital channels.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across marketing, business development, leadership and operational teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of brand consistency and quality.
  • Experience within energy, engineering, infrastructure, professional services or another B2B environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience with photography, videography, motion graphics or video editing would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to support creative development, content creation, research and productivity would be desirable, with the judgement to use them appropriately and maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and brand consistency.
