Your Role: Executive Producer, The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X. Radio X is home to the biggest personalities, and the best rock, indie, and alternative music on the dial. You’ll work with one of the world’s top broadcasters as Executive Producer for The Chris Moyles Show.

In this role, you will create industry-leading output on the breakfast show on Radio X, working closely with the presenter and co-presenter, and leading a team of audio and visual producers of the show. You will be instrumental in driving forward the listener figures of the show and will play a key role in developing innovative ideas to meet client briefs, as well as creating engaging premium rate ideas to drive revenue for the show and station.

You’ll produce the very best content with the show’s talent, bringing to life their ideas and devising your own tailored features and mechanics. You’ll ensure our output is always of the highest standards across all of our broadcast and digital platforms. We’re looking for big, head-turning, and innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to deliver them with an attention to detail, all in a way that engages our audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the incredible team on Radio X’s daily Chris Moyles Show.
  • You’ll manage and coach the presentation and production team to a first-rate standard.
  • You’ll be completely across and responsible for all audio and visual output.
  • You’ll be utilising your creativity to devise and implement outstanding and topical ideas for the show.
  • You’ll be great at recognising great ideas from others and bringing them to life.
  • You’ll have a keen eye for creating great PR.
  • You’ll know exactly what our target audience loves, their music preferences, their lifestyle choices and you’ll put this understanding at the heart of our programming.
  • Bringing together teams across Global for projects, and managing the logistics of getting people, resources and equipment to the right place at the right time.
  • Devise and implement world class commercial branded content campaigns and premium rate ideas.
  • Collaborate with the Radio X Digital Team to evolve our digital content strategy.

  • Carried out brilliant creative ideas on air, some of which may involve music artists or celebrity guests.
  • Worked with the digital team to deliver outstanding content across our platforms, including Global Player.
  • Helped devise and implement exciting commercially branded content.

What You’ll Need

  • You will need extensive media experience, including proven success in a senior role for at least 2 years, or equivalent evidence of leadership capability.
  • You will have a great track record working with high profile talent.
  • You’ll have a great reputation for well implemented highly creative programming ideas and features.
  • You’ll have outstanding organisational skills, sharp attention to detail, and be able to handle a fast-paced workload.
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills – able to collaborate with and direct on-air talent, contributors, and other production staff to bring ideas to life on air, often to tight deadlines.
  • A passion for the content and music on Radio X, and an acute awareness of how to engage our core 25-44 target demographic across multiple platforms.
  • You’ll ensure all aspects of broadcast law, compliance and the broadcasting code are carried out and adhered to.
  • You’ll be able to manage and work to budgets.
  • You will work hand in hand with our brand digital team to ensure the station delivers great content across our social platforms.
  • You will have a strong understanding of radio in the digital age, along with podcasting, playlists and other audio and video formats.
  • You’ll deliver creative solutions for clients to optimise revenue and audience growth whilst staying true to our core brand values.
  • Coaching and Development: Nurturing talent by empowering and guiding individuals to unlock their potential.
  • Building Trust: Creating and maintaining an inclusive environment where diverse views and experiences are welcomed and celebrated in your team.
