A rare opportunity has arisen to join the award‑winning team at Capital. As an Audio Producer, you will be an integral part of the production team on one of the UK’s biggest and most high‑profile radio shows – Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark and Siân Welby. You will help shape the sound of the show and support the live broadcast and branded content across on‑air, digital and other platforms. Applications are accepted until 12 June 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audio Production (40%) – Lead the day‑to‑day live audio production, shaping the overall sound of the show and ensuring a smooth, polished, high‑quality on‑air broadcast.
  • Creative Content (25%) – Produce and deliver creative audio content, including features, promos, competitions, branded content and fast‑turnaround production that enhances live moments, interviews and major show storylines.
  • Post‑show Delivery (20%) – Manage post‑show audio delivery, editing interviews, preparing content for broadcast and digital platforms, and maintaining high technical standards across studio output, recordings, and external audio sources.
  • Collaboration & Development (15%) – Work closely with presenters, producers, and the wider Capital team to bring ideas to life creatively and efficiently, continuously developing the sound of Capital Breakfast in collaboration with sound design and production teams.

What You’ll Need

  • A proven passion for radio and sound design, with a clear vision and genuine desire to develop and improve the sound of Capital Breakfast.
  • The ability to use Adobe Audition to a high standard; Pro Tools skills would also be desirable.
  • Experience of working in a studio environment is essential.
  • Experience of working with high‑profile talent and building swift connections.
  • The ability to sense studio dynamics, bring good, patient energy and handle the pressure of working on the number one commercial radio show in the country.
  • A strong understanding of location‑recording devices and how to capture high‑quality audio for out‑of‑studio features.
  • A good working knowledge of the Zetta playout system.
  • A proven track record of using production to bring editorial and branded content ideas to life.
  • A strong, clear communication style, with the ability to contribute inspiring ideas.
  • Confidence in working towards your own objectives while supporting others to achieve theirs.
