Your Role:
As part of a team of Quality and Compliance Service Controllers, you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities across the TfL estate comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Reporting to the Quality and Compliance S.E.R.V.I.C.E. Manager, this role involves conducting audits, inspections, and compliance checks while also delivering classroom and site-based training to Global staff and contractors. You will also take ownership of specific stations, building relationships with Station Managers to ensure effective quality, compliance, and safety measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality, Compliance & Safety Management (40%)
- Conduct regular quality, compliance, and safety inspections across the TfL estate to ensure alignment with Global and TfL standards (QUENSH).
- Carry out operational audits of Global and Contractor fixers, identifying risks, skills gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Take ownership of assigned stations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Monitor and enforce corrective actions following audits or incident investigations.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and contractual obligations.
- Training, Competency & Development (25%)
- Deliver classroom and site-based training sessions to Global and Contractor teams, ensuring consistent understanding of compliance, quality, and safety standards.
- Support new staff onboarding with practical, on-the-job coaching and mentoring.
- Collaborate with the Compliance, Training & Safety Team to update and develop training materials, guides, and competency programs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement across all teams.
- Equipment and Asset Control (15%)
- Oversee equipment and asset compliance at stations and depots, ensuring all tools and operational resources meet safety and quality standards.
- Track and report maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Support operational readiness by maintaining accurate records of inspections and equipment certifications.
- Operational Support & Field Delivery (10%)
- Support the Fixing Teams with installation, maintenance, and repair work as required, ensuring all activities meet safety and quality standards.
- Undertake the role of a Multi-Media Technician Advanced / PWT when operationally necessary.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management (10%)
- Build strong working relationships with Station Managers, Contractors, and internal Global teams.
- Act as a point of contact for compliance matters, sharing insights and updates with key stakeholders.
- Champion Global’s S.E.R.V.I.C.E. culture through collaboration, communication, and accountability.

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in quality, safety, or compliance roles within operational environments (TfL or similar preferred).

- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and safety reviews.
- Confident trainer and communicator, comfortable leading sessions in classroom and field settings.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act on data insights.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
