The role:
Global X ETFs Europe is seeking an experienced ETF Product Manager to join our highly motivated and dynamic team in London. They will be responsible for leading individual Product Development and Management opportunities of the UCITS ETF business and Jersey ETP Programme.
What you’ll do:
- Development and enhancement of UCITS & ETP products, including product design, structuring, and documentation activities. Apply strong market and investment judgement to assess proposals for client relevance and strategic alignment.
- Own investment product design and recommend improvements. Planning and implementing ETF launches and product enhancements with internal and external stakeholders with a core focus on optimum product design, index efficiency and speed to market.
- Pro-actively monitor and present to wider teams on market trends, competitor products, and client needs to inform product development decisions. Contribute to the presentation of new product launch and enhancement ideas at relevant meetings.
- Contribute to design of index methodologies including rules-based construction, rebalancing logic, eligibility criteria, and governance, to deliver differentiated, investable, and market-leading solutions to build innovative and market leading solutions to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Assist with duties relating to full product lifecycle, including but not limited to:
- Ongoing management of regulatory obligations and regulatory filings including management of foreign registrations at launch and on an on-going basis. Carrying out research in relation to marketing of products in new jurisdictions.
- Partnering with stakeholders to establish processes or enhance existing processes.
- Supporting queries from teams such as portfolio managers, sales and marketing.
- Champion product strategy internally and collaborate with all areas of the business to devise product related opportunities to partner on AUM growth and expansion of the product line up.
What you’ll bring:
- University degree. IMC and CFA qualifications considered as a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a role within Asset Management or Index construction that demonstrates a strong grasp of product development, product structuring and investment strategies.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies, with the ability to evaluate index methodologies, asset class exposures, and risk/return trade-offs from both an investor and product perspective.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and idea-generation skills.
- Interpersonal skills required – Strong initiative, communication, tolerance of pressure, willingness to learn and progress, strong team working skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with a keen focus on execution. The ability to manage multiple workstreams with a creative and forward-thinking outlook.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willingness to take ownership across a broad range of tasks.
