Are you an experienced small animal vet looking to join a progressive and supportive team? My client in Nottingham is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-equipped and highly regarded veterinary hospital. This is a forward-thinking, multi-vet small animal hospital with RCVS accreditation and full hospital status. The site serves as both a first opinion practice and a hub for advanced procedures, benefiting from a wide array of modern facilities and a highly experienced clinical team. With a team of 17 veterinary surgeons working across a flexible rota, the practice combines clinical excellence with a supportive and friendly environment. Due to a team member relocating, they are now looking to welcome a new vet into this collaborative group. The hospital is equipped with an impressive range of diagnostic and surgical tools, including: Advanced ultrasound Digital and dental radiography Endoscopy, rhinoscopy and bronchoscopy Electrocautery and laparoscopy Slit lamp and tonometry Comprehensive in-house laboratory including SDMA, cortisol, bile acids, CPLi/FPLi, coagulation profiles, and urine sediment analysis On-site Imagyst for rapid cytology and haematology The larger branch practices also feature digital imaging and in-house diagnostics to support continuity of care. The practice also offers complementary services such as laser therapy, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. Several team members hold postgraduate certificates in areas such as surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and anaesthesia, with others currently working toward certification in imaging, medicine, and endoscopy. Surgical capability is strong, including regular complex soft tissue and orthopaedic cases (e.g., TPLO, patella surgery, BOAS, fracture repair, liver lobectomy, cholecystectomy). A CT suite expansion is planned, with installation expected by early 2026. This is a permanent daytime-only position, ideally full-time but part-time hours can be considered for the right person. Weekend work is shared on a rota basis. There is no night work, as this is covered by a dedicated out-of-hours team. A candidate with a medical bias would be particularly well supported, and certificate study is actively encouraged and funded . You\’ll be joining a vibrant team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are dedicated to providing gold-standard care and working collaboratively across disciplines.
