Located in the historic and vibrant Oxford area, this independent practice operates across two modern sites. They pride themselves on providing top-tier care exclusively to feline patients. By maintaining a "cats-only" environment, they offer a calm atmosphere for patients and a highly specialized clinical setting for staff.
About the Role and Team
Collaboration is at the heart of this clinic. The first-opinion and referral teams work closely together, meaning you’ll benefit from internal case discussions, ward rounds, and bespoke CPD opportunities.
- The Schedule: 30–40 hours per week (10-hour shifts) with a paid lunch break.
- Balance: 20-minute consultations are standard, with dedicated gaps for admin and lab work.
- The Rota: 1 in 4 weekends (10 hours total consulting over 2 days).
- Peace of Mind: No OOH on-call! Late checks for stable inpatients are shared with the RVN team, usually involving only telephone backup.
About You
The ideal candidate is a team player who loves all things feline! To be considered, you should have:
- At least 2–3 years of UK experience and RCVS registration.
- Confidence in routine surgeries and sole charge environments.
- Competence in dental procedures (advanced skills like X-ray interpretation can be taught).
- A friendly, supportive mentality and a valid driving license with access to a car.
- Advanced soft tissue surgery skills are a bonus, but not essential!
