This is a purpose-built small animal hospital in Tyne & Wear, supported by several branch practices across the wider region. The hospital has recently relocated to new facilities designed around modern clinical workflows, advanced diagnostics, and 24‑hour patient support delivered by an on‑site overnight team. The hospital’s imaging capabilities include CT scanning, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and dedicated surgical theatres. The wider team includes experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses, and clinical support colleagues, offering a collaborative working environment with access to a broad caseload and external clinical guidance when needed. Flexible working options are available, including interest in candidates seeking full‑time, part‑time, or fixed‑term contracts.
Manage first‑opinion consultations, diagnostic work‑ups, and routine surgical procedures across a varied caseload. Work alongside an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, with opportunities to participate in advanced procedures or the hospital’s night service (TOIL provided). Utilise the hospital’s modern diagnostic equipment, including CT imaging, to support evidence‑based clinical decision‑making. Communicate clearly with clients, supporting understanding of diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with RCVS standards and hospital protocols. Participate in a 1 in 6 weekend day rota, with flexibility available regarding hours and contract length.
