About the Practice & Location
Located in a vibrant area of East London/Essex borders, this hospital serves as a central hub for a wide network of local branches. The facility is equipped with premier diagnostic support, including an on-site CT scanner and a commercial laboratory. The surrounding area offers the perfect balance of urban convenience and countryside relief, featuring plenty of green spaces and independent eateries. Situated just a short walk from the Central Line, the hospital is incredibly well-connected for those commuting from across London or the outskirts.
About the Role and Team
Joining a large, diverse team of approximately 25 Vets and over 40 nursing and support staff, you will work within a highly collaborative atmosphere. The rota is based on a 6-week rotation, averaging 40 hours per week (30 hours for part-time), covering consulting, surgery, wards, and ECC. You will be supported by an established management structure, including senior medics and experienced surgeons performing advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures. This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, offering a fantastic mix of first-opinion work and internal referrals.
About You (To be considered)
- Clinically Confident: You should be comfortable jumping straight into routine surgeries (such as bitch spays and dentals) and managing emergency cases.
- Surgical Competence: We are looking for an individual who is confident in their surgical abilities.
- Client Focused: A passion for client communication and evidence-based clinical care is essential.
- Experience: Prior experience in ECC and ultrasonography is highly desirable due to the high imaging caseload.
- Team Player: You should possess excellent clinical reasoning, time-management skills, and a desire to contribute to a strong team spirit.
Benefits
- Salary: £45,000 - £72,000 (FTE) depending on experience.
