The Opportunity
- We’re seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive hospital team in Brighton.
- You’ll enjoy a diverse caseload spanning exotics, cats, and dogs, with access to excellent facilities and a highly experienced clinical team.
- This is an ideal role for a vet who enjoys clinical variety and wants to further develop their skills in exotics within a collaborative and well-supported environment.
The Role
- Full-time, 4 days per week
- 1:5 full weekends
- 1:15 second on-call rota
- 50/50 split between exotics and small animal cases
- Opportunity to work within a well-established exotic caseload
About the Practice
This RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital is supported by multiple branch clinics and offers a high standard of care across a wide range of species. Facilities include:
- Advanced imaging (CT, ultrasound, digital x-ray)
- Laparoscopy and endoscopy (rigid & flexible)
- Fully equipped in-house laboratory
- Separate wards for cats, dogs, exotics, and isolation
The practice has a strong team of certificate holders across various disciplines, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and exotics, creating a great environment for clinical progression and knowledge-sharing. The exotics team is particularly well-established, with dedicated facilities and experienced nursing support, fostering a collaborative and positive culture.
Candidate Requirements
- MRCVS qualified Veterinary Surgeon
- Proven experience managing exotic medical and surgical cases
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Passion for high-quality patient care
