This is a modern, 24‑hour RCVS‑accredited small animal hospital in Essex, designed to deliver high‑quality first‑opinion and advanced care. The hospital is equipped with extensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, supporting a strong team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, imaging‑trained colleagues, physiotherapists, hydrotherapists, and client‑care advisers. Facilities include CT, MRI, digital radiography, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy rooms, and dedicated wards for inpatient care. The clinical team includes individuals with further qualifications in surgery, medicine, orthopaedics, exotics, cardiology, and other disciplines, providing regular opportunities for case discussion and shared learning.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver first‑opinion consultations, routine surgical procedures, and medical case work‑ups.
- Manage a varied caseload with opportunities to investigate cases using advanced diagnostic imaging and in‑house equipment.
- Work a 4‑day week within a fixed 40‑hour rota, including 1 in 4 weekends.
- Participate in a minimal on‑call requirement (3–4 instances per year) to support clinical continuity.
- Communicate clearly with clients to support understanding of diagnoses, treatment options, and care pathways.
- Collaborate with veterinary surgeons, RVNs, physiotherapists, hydrotherapists, and client‑care colleagues to maintain efficient and high‑quality patient care.
- Follow RCVS standards for clinical record keeping, patient welfare, and evidence‑based practice.
- Part‑time applicants are welcome, provided they can participate in the 1 in 4 weekend rotation.
