This well-established small animal practice is part of a wider network of practices across the South and East of England, offering the warmth and culture of a close-knit team, backed by the resources and collaboration of a larger group behind it. The practice has built a strong reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality care, with a genuinely collaborative working environment and a real commitment to clinical excellence and team development.
About the Role
This is a permanent full-time or part-time position (minimum 3 days per week), with no out-of-hours requirement. There is a Saturday morning rota included in the role. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and maintaining high clinical standards across the practice
- Mentoring and developing the veterinary and nursing teams
- Managing complex medical cases and a broad range of surgical procedures
- Overseeing clinical governance and promoting best practice
- Supporting practice performance, workflow and team development
- Building strong, lasting client relationships
- Working alongside the Practice Director to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the practice
What They're Looking For
They are looking for a confident, experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for clinical excellence and team development. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is preferred, and candidates with a proven track record in commercial leadership are particularly encouraged to apply. Orthopaedic experience is desirable but not essential.
