- The Schedule: 30–40 hours per week (10-hour shifts) with a paid lunch break.
- The Rota: 1 in 4 weekends (10 hours total consulting over 2 days).
- Late checks for stable inpatients are shared with the RVN team, usually involving only telephone backup.
- Confidence in routine surgeries and sole charge environments.
- Competence in dental procedures (advanced skills like X-ray interpretation can be taught).
- A friendly, supportive mentality and a valid driving license with access to a car.
