A rare and exciting opportunity to join a brand new, purpose-built veterinary surgery from day one — whether you're looking to step into a leadership role or grow as part of an ambitious clinical team.
About the Practice
This stunning new surgery is opening in the West London area, backed by one of the UK's largest independent, family-owned veterinary groups. Purpose-built from the ground up, it has been designed to feel genuinely different — calm for pets, comfortable for clients, and inspiring for the team. The facilities speak for themselves:
- 8 consulting rooms and 3 operating theatres
- Dedicated dental and imaging suites
- Spacious prep area and wards
- State-of-the-art modern diagnostics throughout
They are looking to build a team of three vets — a Head Vet and two Veterinary Surgeons — all joining at the same time, all with an equal stake in shaping what this practice becomes. This isn't about slotting into something already built. It's about creating it together.
About the Roles
Both positions work 4 days per week across 9-hour shifts, averaging 39 hours per week, with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and dedicated admin time built into every shift.
Head Vet — From £75,000 DOEThis is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take full clinical ownership of a new practice. Alongside your own clinical work, you'll lead and inspire the team, set and uphold clinical governance standards, and play a central role in shaping the culture and direction of the surgery from day one.
Veterinary Surgeon — £50,000–£70,000 DOEThis is a brilliant opportunity for a confident GP vet with 3+ years of experience who wants to be more than just another team member. You'll deliver high-quality first-opinion care, support and mentor the nursing team, and genuinely influence how the practice runs and how care is delivered.
What They're Looking For
For both roles, they are looking for vets who are passionate about clinical excellence, collaborative by nature, and genuinely excited by the prospect of building something new. Specific requirements are:
- Head Vet — Strong all-round GP experience with demonstrable leadership skills and a desire to take real ownership of a practice
- Veterinary Surgeon — 3+ years post-graduate experience, strong GP skills, and ideally a special clinical interest they can support and develop
What They Can Offer You
- Salary from £50,000–£75,000+ DOE depending on role and experience
- 4-day working week with dedicated admin time every shift
- 1 in 4 weekends
- 25 days holiday plus
