This practice is dedicated to clinical excellence and maintains a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring both patients and staff thrive.
About the practice & Location:
Located in the scenic heart of the National Forest, this RCVS-accredited practice offers the perfect blend of rural charm and urban accessibility. Nestled near the Peak District, the location provides easy access to several major cities in the Midlands, while London is just a 90-minute train journey away. As a Gold Standard Cat and Dog Friendly clinic, the facility is highly equipped with an in-house lab, ultrasound with Doppler, endoscopes, and a dedicated dental theatre.
About the role and team:
The successful candidate will join a supportive 9-vet team that prioritises work-life balance and collaborative growth. Being 100% independent, the practice has the freedom to invest in its people and equipment based on the team's suggestions.
- The Rota: Designed by the team itself! Choose between a 5-day week with varied starts/finishes or a fixed 4-day week.
- Weekend Balance: Work only 2 consecutive Saturday mornings in 6 weeks, followed by 4 completely free weekends.
- No OOH: Nights and Bank Holidays are covered by a local provider, and a strict "no client calls after 7pm" rule ensures everyone gets home on time.
The Culture: A nurturing environment where clinical clubs and regular meetings allow vets to share knowledge and discuss cases in a home-like atmosphere.
About you (to be considered):
- Whether you are a confident new graduate or an experienced surgeon, this practice has the infrastructure to support your journey.
- New Graduates: You will benefit from dedicated mentorship, with three VetGDP advisors on-site and participation in graduate-friendly schemes.
- Experienced Vets: If you have a specific interest, the practice is eager to support and fund Certificate-level study.
