This is a large, well-equipped small animal hospital located on the Hampshire / South Coast, offering extensive first-opinion and referral support services. The practice benefits from a long-standing clinical team, including veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and student nurses with additional qualifications across multiple disciplines. Facilities include ultrasound, radiography, dental imaging, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ICU equipment, and a full internal laboratory staffed by dedicated laboratory technicians. The hospital also provides an ophthalmology referral service and benefits from regular visiting orthopaedic expertise. What You’ll Do
Deliver first-opinion consultations, surgical procedures, and medical case work-ups within a hospital environment. Work as part of a large, collaborative veterinary team with opportunities for shared case discussion and internal referral support. Engage in clinical duties across a varied caseload, with the option to develop skills in advanced diagnostics or surgery depending on your experience. Contribute to a hybrid out-of-hours rota, requiring 1–2 night shifts per month, supported by a dedicated night team for the remainder of overnight work. Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work within a rota designed around your interests and work-life balance, with flexibility available during recruitment discussions.
