A well-established, multi-site small animal practice is looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon into its friendly and experienced clinical team. Known for delivering gold‑standard patient care, the practice places a strong emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and helping vets grow in confidence as they progress through the early stages of their career.

About the Practice & Location

The practice operates across three nearby sites and is RCVS accredited, offering a modern, well‑equipped working environment including:

  • Digital X‑ray
  • Ultrasound
  • ❤️ ECG
  • In‑house laboratory
  • Modern dental suite with ultrasonic scaler and polisher

Located within easy reach of a major UK city, the area offers excellent transport links, lifestyle amenities, and international travel access ✈️

About the Role

This is a full‑time position based on a 4‑day working week , promoting excellent work‑life balance. The role includes a shared weekend rota, with part‑time hours also considered.

Duties include:

  • Delivering high‑quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients
  • Managing routine consultations and procedures with senior support always available
  • Building strong client relationships through clear, compassionate communication
  • Working collaboratively within a multi‑vet, multi‑nurse team
  • Taking part in clinical discussions and ongoing development initiatives

The structure of the role makes it ideal for a vet who enjoys learning, developing autonomy gradually, and working in a positive, low‑pressure environment.

About the Candidate

This opportunity is perfect for a junior‑level Veterinary Surgeon who is ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with 2+ years’ small animal experience (UK or UK‑equivalent)
  • Be confident with routine consults and commonly performed procedures
  • Be keen to continue developing skills with structured mentorship and guidance
  • Thrive in a supportive, team‑based environment
  • Be looking for a long‑term role where growth and progression are encouraged

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to ÂŁ65,000, dependent on experience
