Veterinary Surgeon – Independent GP Practice | Greater Manchester
Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a friendly, well-established independent small animal practice? This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive, close-knit team in Greater Manchester, offering clinical freedom, a loyal client base, and excellent work–life balance.
The Role
- Permanent position with flexible part-time hours (up to 3 days per week)
- Typical hours 9:00am–7:00pm (or 6:30pm finish depending on rota)
- 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (approx. 3 hours)
- No out-of-hours (OOH) or on-call
- Mix of consults and surgery with dedicated operating time
- Manage a varied small animal GP caseload including routine and intermediate procedures
- Structured day with consulting blocks and protected theatre time
About You
- You’ll be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong GP experience.
- Confident in consults and routine surgery
- Comfortable with occasional sole charge
- A well-rounded GP Vet who enjoys a varied caseload
- Strong client care and communication skills
- A team player who thrives in a supportive, independent environment

- Visiting specialists in cardiology, orthopaedics, imaging, and soft tissue surgery
- Equipment includes: Digital X-ray, Bronchoscopy, Dental facilities
- Procedures include: Neutering & dentals, Soft tissue surgery, Orthopaedic cases (via visiting specialists), More advanced procedures supported on-site
