A small animal practice in the Southwest London/Surrey region is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
This position offers an excellent balance of clinical autonomy and collaborative support. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while having access to colleagues with a wide range of experience, including multiple certificate holders.
Work–life balance is genuinely prioritised, with a structured rota that includes a fixed weekday off, no out-of-hours duties, and a fair weekend rotation. The team enjoys a sociable, inclusive culture with regular events and seasonal celebrations.
The practice operates across multiple sites and is RCVS-accredited, equipped with modern, high-quality facilities including:
- Endoscopy
- Laparoscopic equipment
- Ultrasound
- CR radiography
- Class 4 laser
- Fully equipped in-house laboratory
The clinical team includes 10 vets supported by nurses and client care colleagues with certificates in ECC, advanced veterinary practice, surgery, medicine, surgical nursing, and consulting. Interests span dermatology, cardiology, exotics, and wellbeing, creating a stimulating and diverse working environment.
Professional development is strongly supported, with well-funded CPD and clear opportunities for career progression.
Typical Weekday Shifts:
- 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
- 10:00 am – 7:30 pm
Candidate Requirements:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years’ first-opinion experience
- Confident managing cases independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Committed to delivering high-quality clinical care

- Interest in developing a clinical specialism or pursuing further qualifications is welcomed
