Location: London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA)

We are seeking an experienced Student Success Team Lead to join our university support services. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about student outcomes, retention, and academic support. The successful candidate will oversee a team of student advisors and support coordinators, develop student engagement strategies, and ensure high-quality service delivery across our student lifecycle programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of student success tutors, ensuring consistent, high-quality support for students.
  • Develop and implement student retention and engagement strategies to improve academic outcomes and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate case management for at risk students, collaborating with academic staff, disability services and mental health teams.
  • Monitor team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare regular reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Design and deliver training, resources and workshops to build staff capability in student support, safeguarding and safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate student records in the student information system and ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects to enhance student experience, digital support tools and onboarding processes.
  • Manage service improvements using feedback, surveys and student voice initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in education, social sciences or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a student services, academic advising or student engagement role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
  • Experience managing caseloads, risk assessments and coordinating support for diverse student populations.
  • Strong knowledge of UK higher education frameworks, retention practices and student wellbeing services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience delivering training and presentations.

Desirable:

  • Master's Degree, PGCE, QTS, coaching/mentoring qualification, or working towards one.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with student information systems or CRM platforms.
  • Experience analysing student data to identify trends and inform interventions.
  • Previous experience within a further/higher education institution in the UK.
  • Previous experience working and dealing with students.
