Graphic Design sits at the heart of LCCA’s creative identity. We’re now looking for an inspiring Course Director – Graphic Design to lead, evolve and champion our programme, ensuring it remains contemporary, industry-connected and deeply engaging for students. This is a senior academic leadership role where you’ll combine creative vision, educational excellence and industry insight to develop graduates who are confident, innovative and ready to shape the creative industries. You’ll work closely with the Deans and Associate Deans for the Creative Programmes, leading a talented academic team and playing a key role in the growth of this curriculum area.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Graphic Design curriculum, ensuring academic quality, relevance and innovation
- Deliver engaging teaching across blended learning platforms
- Manage and mentor Subject Leads and Lecturers
- Drive student engagement, progression, achievement and retention
- Build and maintain strong industry links
- Oversee assessment, quality assurance, course monitoring and examination boards
- Contribute to research, scholarly activity and/or professional practice
- Support student recruitment, admissions and extra-curricular initiatives
- Contribute to cross-College projects and strategic initiatives
About you:
- Relevant BA and postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Experience teaching and assessing in Higher Education
- Experience leading or managing courses, people, curriculum and quality
- Strong knowledge of contemporary graphic design practice and theory
- Ability to design and deliver inclusive, challenging learning experiences
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Active professional networks within the creative industries
