Position:
You will be engaged in business development and provision of Consultative Sales to our partners. The work may involve administrative or team support, specialist and/or consultative advice on UK products under GUS, sales cycle management, data and information management, or the development and implementation of relevant processes. Contacts with external customers – prospective and/or existing students are a common feature. All roles require knowledge of GUS product range, commercial environment and relevant processes and procedures.
Requirements:
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Business Development
- To assist in identifying and supporting developing potential business partners and grows existing client relationships.
- To perform potential client research including but not limited to meeting key players in the industry
- To actively seek and conduct meetings and presentations with potential clients;
- To represents GUS at client/agent meetings, local and national exhibitions and conferences in order to recruit potential students /build relationships where applicable
- To assist in all relevant projects work
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested for the overall performance of the Company
Analysis, Reporting and Data Management
- To research and provide valid information on industry trends, which will become the basis for strategic planning and forecasting
- Collect and compare pertinent data on the target market, making recommendations and writing proposals
- To providing management with relevant data, competitors analyses and feedback where relevant
- To assist in presenting strategies for expansion
- To administer accounts and produce reports on local performance
- To prepare and assists in performing customer/ agent presentations
Customer Focus
- To provide individually tailored professional advice at all time
- To be a trusted Advisor
- Providing individually tailored advice to all prospective students
- Consulting students through the full application circle (direct or via agents): from initial conversation through to finalising and closing their application to study with GUS.
- Exploring possible career paths for students and matching it with specific GUS offerings
- Handling student enquiries regarding different programmes from potential student
- Building commonalities to gain trust and engage potential students/ agents
- Provide outstanding customer service to all students, and all stakeholders, which is timely and efficient, and encourages students to choose GUS
- Handling student enquiries regarding different programmes from potential students business partners
- Portraying a positive and professional image of GUS at all times. Generating a positive and sought after image of GUS.
Communication and liaison
- Agency Network Management, promote, develop and train potential agents from fairs, business trips
- Constant liaison and communication with Agents and students
- Ensuring that all relevant product developments are communicated internally
Experience
Essential
- Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
- Experience in relevant field (i.e. Marketing or Sales)
- Proven experience in a Business Development role
Desirable
- Experience in business development planning
- Extensive experience in education industry
- Client/account management experience
