Job Purpose
The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering company training programmes that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of GTC Independent Travel Advisors. This role ensures alignment of L&D initiatives with organizational goals to drive Independent Travel Advisor revenue generation, address knowledge gaps and overall company success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Needs Analysis:
- Assess training and development needs through performance needs and deliver training in conjunction with company strategy and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and opportunities for improvement across the business.
2. Training Design and Delivery:
- Develop engaging and effective learning materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and training guides.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Customize learning solutions to address specific team or departmental needs.
- Support new Independent Travel Advisor onboarding process and provide full onboarding training support.
3. Evaluation and Reporting:
- Measure the effectiveness of training programmes using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Prepare reports on training outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
4. Learning Technologies:
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.
- Stay updated on new L&D technologies and integrate them into the organisation’s strategy.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with Leadership and all GTC UK business unit’s to align training initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Act as a consultant to provide guidance on IC development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
- Minimum of [2–5] years of experience in a learning and development role or similar.
- GDS (Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus, experience preferred.
- Dolphin and Dolphin ResModule, experience preferred.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing successful training programs.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and e-learning software

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and feedback.

Requirement:
