Role Description
This is a role for a Fractional Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a startup focused on career women, leadership training, and motivation. The role is located remotely and will operate between London and the US (CT). The Fractional COO will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, and execution of business plans. They will work closely with other executives, advisors and non-execs to drive company growth, manage resources, and ensure effective business processes.
Qualifications
- Experience with Startups: Previous experience working in or with startups, especially in the tech or women’s empowerment space.
- Business Planning and Operations Management skills
- Strong Analytical Skills: Experience in Finance, proficient in Budgeting and financial planning.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills: Ability to work collaboratively with executive teams.
- Operational Excellence: Strong background in overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing processes, and scaling businesses efficiently.
- Leadership & People Management: Ability to manage and inspire teams, particularly in remote or hybrid work environments.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with mobile apps, AI, SaaS platforms, or digital products, especially in the context of user experience and customer success.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budget management, financial planning, and fundraising.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Technology Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Women’s Studies, or Human Resources. MBA or other advanced business qualifications are a plus, as they would provide a strong foundation for strategic decision-making, financial oversight, and operations management.
