Contract Opportunity – Onsite IT Support Engineer – 4 Days per week
London – Tower Bridge Area
£200 per day (inside IR35) | 4 days per week | 1 month contract with potential extensions
Our client are a London-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering agile, user-focused IT solutions to innovative businesses. Due to increased demand, they\’re looking for a proactive and skilled Onsite IT Support Engineer to join us on a contract basis , working 4 days per week on-site at a client location near Tower Bridge.
This is an excellent short-term opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who thrives in client-facing environments and enjoys being the go-to expert on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support and issue resolution across hardware, software, networks, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Liaise with remote Helpdesk and 2nd/3rd line teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Manage Workstation builds, configurations, deployments, and upgrades.
- Perform health checks, patching, and preventative maintenance.
- Support Microsoft 365 services and assist with Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
- Accurately log incidents, solutions, and changes using Autotask and IT Glue.
- Maintain professional, clear communication with end users and internal teams.
- Support project-related tasks such as hardware refreshes, office moves, and rollouts.
What We\’re Looking For
- 2+ years in an on-site IT support role, preferably in an MSP or fast-paced corporate setting.
- Solid Windows troubleshooting skills and good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Confident supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with PSA tools (Autotask preferred) and documentation platforms (like IT Glue).
- A self-starter who can work independently and deliver a strong client experience.
