IT / AV Engineers Port Talbot in Llanelli

Salary: £40,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT Engineer, Desktop Support, Infrastructure, or AV Engineer role.
• Experience with AV equipment installation and support.
• Experience deploying and supporting endpoints and/or servers.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.
• Experience with IMAC activities and IT asset management.
• Good customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently onsite and as part of a wider service team.
• Full driving licence.
• Own vehicle/transport is essential.
• Flexibility to travel between Newport, Port Talbot, and Llanelli.

Responsibilities

• We install, configure, and support AV equipment and related IT hardware.
• We deploy endpoints, workstations, and servers.
• We carry out hardware installations, moves, additions, and changes (IMAC).
• We validate service requests and prepare equipment prior to deployment.
• We coordinate equipment logistics, installation, and collection.
• We provide onsite technical support to end users.
• We diagnose and resolve workplace IT incidents.
• We restore services quickly in line with agreed priorities and SLAs.
• We elevate and coordinate issues with third-party suppliers where required.
• We maintain accurate service records and ensure incidents are properly closed.
• We provide onsite support to priority/VIP users where required.
• We support walk-in and desk-based IT services, including device handouts and returns.
• We assist with hardware orders, equipment logistics, and printer replacements.
• We identify, investigate, and document recurring workplace IT issues.
• We log, prioritise, and manage problems through to resolution.
• We work with internal teams and third parties to identify root causes.
• We implement corrective actions to help prevent recurring incidents.
• We maintain accurate documentation and service records.
• We maintain accurate IT asset and configuration records.
• We manage equipment installations, returns, replacements, and disposals.
• We maintain appropriate stock levels and support equipment logistics.
• We ensure all asset activity complies with policies, procedures, and systems.

We are seeking experienced IT / AV Engineers to provide onsite services across Port Talbot and Llanelli. This is an inside IR35 contract opportunity, initially for two months, with the possibility of extending for a further month. We offer a salary/rate dependent on experience, with an immediate or imminent start. We are recruiting for three engineers and require flexibility to travel between sites.
