Overview:
Were looking for a proactive and friendly Level 2 Deskside Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support during a short-term cover period. Youll be the go-to face for users needing assistance, so confidence, approachability, and initiative are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide deskside Level 2 support for users across hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Floor-walk to check in with users and proactively resolve IT concerns
- Act as the first point of contact for any on-site IT-related issues
- Log, update, and resolve tickets in a timely manner
- Support Microsoft 365 and other standard office applications
- Prepare, deploy, and maintain user equipment (e.g. laptops, docking stations)
- Liaise with the wider IT team for escalations or follow-up tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Level 2 support or deskside engineer role
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and standard business tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, can-do approach with a focus on user satisfaction
