We are currently seeking multiple IT Support Assistants to support a large-scale IT rollout and deployment project in Reading. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a solid understanding of basic IT hardware and software, and a willingness to assist with imaging, deployment, and general IT support tasks in a warehouse/office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the imaging, setup, and configuration of laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment
- Unpack, label, and organise hardware in preparation for deployment
- Conduct basic testing to ensure devices are functioning correctly
- Support inventory management and maintain accurate records of assets
- Collaborate with project leads to ensure smooth delivery and rollout of devices
- Provide general IT support to staff during the deployment phase
- Assist with the recycling and disposal of old equipment as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar IT support, rollout, or warehouse-based IT role
- Comfortable handling IT hardware and following setup procedures
- Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be available to start immediately and commit to the duration of the project
