We are seeking an experienced Head of Estates to lead and deliver strategic estates management for a local authority. This role offers a hybrid setup and pays £835/day (inside IR35).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Council's commercial property portfolio, maximising income and value.
  • Oversee rent reviews, lease negotiations, asset valuations, and garage management.
  • Manage and develop a small team including Estates Surveyors and Garage Manager.
  • Advise on strategy, support service transformation, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Budget management, service planning, and stakeholder engagement across senior levels.

Requirements:

  • MRICS or equivalent experience.
  • Proven senior-level estates leadership, within local government.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record in income generation and asset management.
  • Experience of managing large budgets and complex stakeholder environments.
