The Role
We're seeking a Business Development Consultant to join our growing team. This is a telephone-based role, ideally based in Manchester (hybrid working considered). Your key responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and engaging new contacts within local authorities and private sector organisations to identify key decision-makers responsible for training.
- Exploring opportunities with existing clients to deepen relationships and expand their use of our services.
- Contacting and converting organisations with non-paid trial accounts into active, paying customers.
- Introducing and demonstrating our systems, products, and services to prospective clients.
- Discussing training needs in a consultative manner to provide tailored solutions.
- Building and managing a strong sales pipeline across multiple regulated sectors.
- Accurately maintaining outreach records, conversations, and opportunities in the CRM.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- High volume of quality outbound dials to targeted contacts.
- Tenacious follow-up and strategic engagement to move opportunities forward.
- Controlled call duration, ensuring conversations are focused and efficient.
- Smart, critical thinking to navigate complex organisations and identify decision-makers quickly.
- Effective conversion of trials and warm leads into paying clients.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a business development, sales, or consultative B2B role.

- Confidence in delivering online demos and presentations.
- Experience working with or selling into local authorities or regulated sectors is an advantage.
