The Technical Writer will support the Preclinical Engineering team by creating, revising, and proofreading technical reports and documentation related to bench and in vivo testing. These documents will be used in regulatory submissions and must comply with strict formatting, content, and quality standards. This role requires strong collaboration with engineering and R&D stakeholders and the ability to produce high-quality documentation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and proofread technical reports for bench and in vivo preclinical studies
  • Collaborate with R&D and subject matter experts, including Preclinical Engineering, Hardware, and Ablation Catheter Design teams
  • Coordinate and manage the document review and approval process according to procedural requirements
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory, formatting, and content specifications
  • Balance efficient document production with a high standard of quality and accuracy
  • Maintain version control and support document lifecycle management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting technical or scientific documentation, preferably in medical devices or biomedical engineering
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Engineering, Technical Writing, or physical/biological sciences
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document priorities
