The Phlebotomist (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the front-line representative for patients seeking diagnostic services. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed with accuracy, safety, and compassion. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures
- Confidently collect and process clinical and forensic specimens
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout procedures
- Maintain a professional, clean, and compliant work environment
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public
- Complete daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends and holidays

Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Required in CA, NV, and WA (not required for MN)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
- Keyboarding and data entry experience required
