Most of the time the biggest challenge with transformation isn't a lack of projects... it's working out whether you're doing the right ones. I'm working with a long standing client looking for an experienced Senior Change Consultant to help them take a step back and build a clear, benefits led view of their transformation portfolio. There are potentially up to 60 different initiatives in play, and the goal is to understand what each is trying to achieve, what benefits it's expected to deliver, where the dependencies sit and ultimately whether investment and effort are being focused in the right places. You'll be coming in to bring some much needed structure to all of that.
Here’s what you'll be doing:
- Applying an existing benefits framework across the transformation portfolio
- Building a catalogue of benefits across up to 60 initiatives
- Creating a consolidated view of benefits and linking them back to individual programmes/projects
- Building a portfolio catalogue covering scope, key milestones and dependencies
- Working with stakeholders to get underneath what's actually being delivered and why
- Turning a fairly complicated portfolio into something leadership can properly understand and use to make decisions
Here’s what you’ll need to apply:
- Strong change/transformation consulting experience alongside genuine experience of benefits management and benefits realisation.
- Comfortable working across a large portfolio, engaging with multiple stakeholders and taking lots of disparate information and turning it into something structured, consistent and genuinely useful.
This is all about understanding transformation at portfolio level and helping an organisation establish whether its change activity is actually delivering the outcomes it set out to achieve. The contract initially runs from the first week of September through to the end of November and is paying £500 per day outside IR35. There's lots of flexibility to work remotely with minimal travel required. You'll also need to be eligible to complete BPSS clearance.
