When it comes to technology transformation, choosing the right solution is crucial. My client is looking for an experienced Observability Architect to help them decide which application monitoring platform is the best fit for their business. They're currently assessing Grafana and Datadog, but they're looking for someone who can remain objective throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have experience with both products or at least experience comparing enterprise monitoring and observability platforms, and can recommend the right solution based on requirements rather than personal preference.
This isn't just an RFP exercise either. In an ideal world, the successful consultant will help run the evaluation, build a proof of concept, oversee implementation of the chosen platform, and support the business through knowledge transfer into BAU.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the RFP and product evaluation process
- Validating functional requirements and assessment criteria
- Building an MVP / Proof of Concept to support product selection
- Recommending the most appropriate monitoring platform
- Leading implementation of the chosen solution
- Providing hypercare and knowledge transfer into the operational support team
What you’ll need to apply:
- Experience with enterprise application monitoring / observability platforms
- Exposure to both Grafana and Datadog would be ideal
- Experience leading technology selection or vendor evaluation exercises
- Ability to remain vendor agnostic and provide objective recommendations
- Someone equally comfortable talking to technical teams and senior stakeholders
This is an initial 6 month contract, outside IR35, with the option to extend. The role can be delivered remotely from anywhere in the UK. Interested? Hit the link in the advert to apply or get in touch for more information.
